Heyo! I’m Zen :D

The name is Rod, but you might be able spot me online as zenTauri or certain variations of it.

I’m a Full Stack Developer and AI Application Engineer based in El Salvador. I graduated with honors as an Information Systems Engineer in 2024, and have been shipping things professionally since late 2023.

I love learning new things, which is why I have experimented with a large variety of languages, but my day to day lives mostly around JS/TS and Python, but I’m also comfortable with C#, Java, and Rust (which is usually the one I use the most on my personal projects or for learning). I know some Lua as well thanks to wezterm and neovim config tweaking. I also plan on learning Go and Dart which are currently on the list just waiting for their turn.

You might’ve already guessed but I’m a native Spanish speaker. However, I’m fluent in English as I speak it through most of my day. I have a list of spoken languages to learn in my backlog as well, with French and Mandarin being the current… “experiments”. I guess I just have a thing for languages, in general… Spoken or otherwise.

Things I Enjoy

• I love playing video games 🎮. The Legend Of Zelda is my favorite franchise of all times.
• I’m big music fan, mostly different flavors of rock, and also metal. Although I do enjoy some pop and electronic music as well.
• I love watching movies, TV shows and anime.
• I grew up doing art, mainly drawing. With age I started experimenting with other things like writing, songwriting, 3D sculpting, and others.
• I’m a less than decent guitar player, but I still love doing it. I can also play some ukulele, ocarina, bass guitar, and kalimba… Hopefully more will join the list eventually.
• I’m an introvert, but I love making friends… I’m just bad at it :p
